About Country Heals:

Now in its 12th year, Country Heals is a 5-mile walk and 5-mile run in scenic Wompatuck State Park in Hingham, MA to raise funds for Tufts Medical Center and Floating Hospital for Children. Since the event's inception, (previously known as Harbor Walk & Run), it has raised nearly $2 million to benefit the Medical Center's mission to heal, comfort, teach, learn, promote health and prevent disease.

The name, location and date may be new this year, but the goal is still the same.

An exciting post-event festival and concert will follow the 5-mile walk and run to be enjoyed by all participants and their families. Walkers and runners will journey through the beautiful and serene environment of the new course, navigating around the Aaron River Reservoir and through the wooded landscape and in Wompatuck State Park. Located just 35-minutes south of downtown Boston, the 3,500 acre State Park offers 12 miles of paved bicycle trails and many miles of wooded bridle paths, hiking trails and mountain bike trails. Participants will walk or run on the large paved trail system.

This year, Country Heals aims to raise $400,000. Help us reach this goal by registering to walk or run today!

The Country Heals event that benefits Tufts Medical Center and The Floating Hospital for Children is near and dear to my heart. On December 8th, 2011 my son Mason was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Mason is currently in treatment at the Floating Hospital for Children, he continues to fight and smile every step of the way.

This will be the 3rd time Mason’s Military has participated in this event, and over the past few years we have raised almost 20k with the support and generosity of so many. What’s great about this event is that each team is able to designate where the funds raised will go. Mason’s Military has chosen to allocate our funds to pediatric cancer research, and the childlife department in the oncology clinic. A donation of any amount to this amazing event would mean the world to us. Thank you in advance for your support!
