Oracle recently announced the Oracle Database Appliance, which offers small and mid-sized organizations a rapidly deployable, highly available platform at an affordable cost. With this new offering, Oracle's Engineered Systems family becomes more complete, with Oracle Exadata Database Machine supporting the needs of larger enterprises and Oracle Database Appliance supporting SMBs, departmental applications, and independent software  vendors (ISVs).
