Symantec Delivers New Deduplication Appliance Strategy

Symantec recently introduced its leading data protection technology on an appliance form factor, departing from its software-only delivery model. Symantec is packaging NetBackup 7 with its deduplication technology as purpose-built appliances. The move makes Symantec more competitive with performance and cost versus target-side deduplication vendors.
