Symantec Improves Automation and Management of System Recovery

Formerly known as Backup Exec System Recovery (BESR), Symantec recently updated its system recovery solution, introducing greater automation and improved management, and renamed it Symantec System Recovery (SSR). SSR 2011 is a disk-based bare metal recovery and dissimilar hardware recovery solution that protects the file system, metadata, operating system, and applications as well as data, complementing traditional backup offerings such as Backup Exec and NetBackup.
