A recent ESG survey revealed that 44% of organizations reported increased usage of networked storage as one of the key effects that server virtualization has had on their storage environments.1 In fact, networked storage was most commonly identified as the primary storage technology supporting virtual server environments, especially among respondents that have had virtualization deployed for longer periods of time.
