Why them? Because they have all the major partnerships, the training, the overwhelming majority of real run-time customers, and in my opinion, the greatest likelihood of making a legit run as a business.

You can now stand up a Cloudera Hadoop cluster in no time. No scientists required.

I was reticent about Hadoop’s single point of failure at the name server keeping it out of the enterprise, but they just fixed that.

Their new announcement has too much to go into, but if you read it, you’ll know what I’m talking about.
