I recently recorded a couple of short videos with my colleague and Lead ESG Analyst, Mark Bowker where we had an informal conversation about trends in end-user computing (EUC) and how partners are adapting their go-to-market strategies to respond to their customer asks.
Summarizing the driving market trends – IT decision makers are looking increasingly to IT partners (solution providers and managed service providers) to help them do more than just save time and money. They are asking their partners and suppliers to provide leadership and expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting the complex infrastructure they need to successfully support their company’s digital transformation in the era of remote productivity and work anywhere.
Partners are adapting their organizations and business models in three ways to support modern EUC-led IT markets:
- Leaning more on delivering high-value professional services, plus expanding their managed services operations and capabilities.
- Expanding and leveraging key vendor relationships to provide expertise for their clients’ data centers, and also their extended network of devices, users, and applications.
- Wrapping cybersecurity protection around this extended network to include data, network, device, and cloud security software and services.
This pivot by partners allows them to extend their value and footprint, while collaborating with both IT and LOB influencers at their clients and delivering integrated solutions. Goodness for both sides.
