ESG Lab Senior Engineer Tony Palmer provides independent, hands-on validation and analysis of emerging IT hardware and software products. Tony came to ESG in 2006 and has 24 years of field experience supporting networking, systems, and storage vendors in numerous pre-sales and technical marketing roles. Tony spent seven years with EMC as a pre-sales product and technology consultant covering NAS, CAS, and SAN. He also conducted competitive and performance analyses for EMC’s customers.

This ESG Lab Review documents hands-on testing of ThreatConnect TC Identify and evaluates its ability to accelerate and simplify threat detection. ESG Lab focused on how TC Identify provides IT managers with the tools to configure threat intelligence from more than 100 open source data feeds and premium feeds that the organization subscribes to, summarize and score potential threats with insights from the ThreatConnect Research Team, and optimize data dissection by integrating with other tools such as a SIEM or firewall.

Note for 2018 updates made to this report: Test results remain unchanged from the original 2017 report, but some features described in the HyperFlex section have been updated to reflect the current feature set included in the HX 3.0 release.
