ESG's Christophe Bertrand talks about Data Protection with with with Justin Augat, VP of Product Marketing at iland.

Christophe: Welcome to Data Protection Conversations. My name is Christophe Bertrand. I'm a senior analyst with ESG and I'm joined here today by Justin Augat, who is the vice president of product marketing for iland. Justin, welcome.
Justin: How are you, sir?
Christophe: So, tell me more about what you do, what is iland about, and what are your customers.
Justin: iland focuses on cloud and services to enable resilient businesses. And what we mean by that is we focus in customers that are looking to adapt, secure, and protect their data in their mission-critical applications essentially in a cloud environment, but they're not looking for a general-purpose cloud. They're looking for a proven enterprise-class cloud that focuses on performance, on availability, on security and compliance, and provides a familiar management experience to what they may be using today on-premise.
Christophe: Got It. So, I suspect SLAs like RPO, Recovery Point Objective and Recovery Time Objective are going to be very important for those customers. Tell me about your customers and the type of SLAs they're getting from the services you provide.
Justin: So, we have 100% SLA. It's really as simple as that.
Christophe: That easy?
Justin: Yeah. We don't mess around with the nines. We're just write 100%. We have that confidence. Our infrastructure is built on VMware, on Cisco, on HPE Nimble. Again, we have a dedicated team that is ensuring these SLAs are met. Our RTO and RPO are some of the best in the industry.
So, really what it is it's that move from the on-premise to the cloud, while providing extreme confidence and trust that the data is secure and it's protected in the event of either a disaster or recovery event.
Christophe: So, when you look at this, what would you say differentiates you from either going on your own, doing it yourself or maybe going with another provider?
Justin: So, one of the big things that we see in the market today is growing complexity. Okay. And you'll see where I'm going with this. The two major differentiators that we have at iland, I would say, apart from our enterprise-class platform is our services business. So, we believe that the journey to the cloud is just as important as the destination itself. We have strategy services, we have resource sizing services, we have migration and onboarding services, all in an effort to get the customer to the cloud, add application onto our platform seamlessly, and reduce risk.
For customers that are there, they're looking to completely outsource their disaster recovery operations. As an example, we offer a full managed service . And then finally, as that experience continues, after the onboarding and the applications are up and running, we provide premium support included with all of our services to all of our customers, again to improve that experience. Okay.
The second thing that we know that is a major differentiator for us, has been really important to us and to our business is our deep award-winning partnerships with some of the biggest data protection names out there. So, as example, Veeam and Zerto, both of these companies, we pursue collaborative development efforts, joint go-to-market opportunities, and again all in an effort to create that seamless data protection experience for the customer.
